· A summary of issues and opportunities compiled from discussions with key stakeholders during Planning Week can be found by visiting the following link: Roundtable Summary. Feedback received from these stakeholder groups as well as the public helped in the development of questions included in the community survey.
· The Community Concerns Summary and Community Values Summary documents compile responses from members of the public who participated in the public workshops during Planning Week, highlighting specific community values as well as issue of concern for Twin Falls County over the next ten to twenty years. These community values and areas of concern are further illustrated by the Community Workshop Summary Maps document, which highlights:
o Opportunities for greater connectivity in the County
o Limitations due to environmental hazards
o Opportunities for economic diversification
o Opportunities for protecting, enhancing or expanding agricultural or other heritage resources
o Opportunities for preserving or enhancing a historic or cultural asset
o Opportunities for expanding housing variety and availability
o Opportunities for protecting, enhancing or expanding access to recreation and open space
· The Community Workshop Summary Maps compile all feedback received at the three community workshops held during Planning Week, as well as feedback collected during additional community events in February and March, including the Home & Garden Expo and AgriAction 2020. Additional information on how this information was collected can be found by viewing the Planning Week Presentation file.
· Additionally, the Twin Falls County Comprehensive Plan Survey Summary provides an overview of all responses received to the online community survey between February 26th and April 30th, 2020. This document summarizes responses to each question based on the geography of the respondent and looks at key trends and take-aways based on the majority of responses. An overall summary provided by SurveyMonkey can be viewed by visiting the following link: SurveyMonkey Summary.
· Public input is still welcome and encouraged as the rewrite process continues. A public review draft of the comprehensive plan is anticipated later this summer, and there will be outreach opportunities planned with both key stakeholders and members of the public to vet plan components and gain additional feedback on the document and its direction.
